DING DONG DELL

Hmmm so dell is planning to open another call center in india.Meaning more jobs for so many unemployed educated youth. Also ther plan to open a manufacturing unit in india. So they can sell computers faster.Dell hold on indian computer market isnt much , just 3.66% in comparison to lenovo's 9.1% and HP's 19.05%. By opening a manufacturing unit in india they can improve their sales. But what i would want to know is how successful are they going to be.Nokia and Motorola paln to also open manufacturing units in India.Does this mean that India can now look at a future promising deveoplment of semiconductor industries.Another important question :When will India involve in design field even more deeply? Is this going to be the new age industrial reolution for India?

Well previous post was all about intel driving apple systems. This post is about intel getting replaced by AMD.Recently intel is having supply issues and hence Gateway computers has AMD processors running their recent line of systems produced.News has it that Dell also might be going the gateway way.this is not good news for intel.mismanagement of forecasts and capacity allocation issues are looming large on intel . So intel has disatisfied customers and dismayed investors to deal with .Anwin i think a lot of ppl will be buying AMD like you did ;-)

Welcome to my world

Hi this blog is purely dediacted to my view on various business news .I am no expert but an an individual i have a view and this is my medium of expression.

My first topic for this blog is APPLE.Yes this baby of steve jobs has always been in recent years center of media speculation and anticipation.Every year people including technical experts, journalists , competing companies , tech enthusiasts and general public wait for apple to unleash its new product line with baited breath .
Recent big buzz was about Apple using Intel processors in its new Mac power books. While this partnership stands to benefit investors immensley , how does it benefit consumers?
Well for starters with use of Intel chips the notebook speed increases.Apple is past has been purchasing its chips from motorola and IBM ,who had less interests in making frequent updates to match apple becuase of it insignificant share worldwide market .With intel ,apple gets more flexibility said one PC analyst.I always wondered why one of rulings chip makers in world (intel)werent involved with apple .Both are brilliant innovators in their own respect and when two superior powers come together there is no boundaries they cant cross or grounds they cant break.
Apple laptops arent still as popular among normal crowd in comparison to its competitors .But with intel chips powering them apple systems will be the only one with hardware that can support the four popular class OS : OS-X , linux , windows , java applications running at optimal speeds.
Is that good news? for technically inclined people yes ..what abt the people who rather have something like windows do thier excel sheets and docs even though it has a million technical snags in it . I have worked on macpowerbook.it is extermely sleek and beautiful to look at . But its gets a little confusing to work with because the mac OS runs on Unix and it isnt as easy as windows XP or 2000 .So what should people at apple do ?well if it can accomadate windows on it now as mentioned , then its problem is solved because a windows OS(which most ppl are used to ) with mac features supporting it is like dream come true.Apple has got to find a way through which it can broaden its market for notebooks like it has for IPODS. It needs a marketing strategy with an impact .It has already carved a brand name for ipods ...its has to play this up and somewhere intel's partnership will also encourage an average consumer to buy a macpowerbook.
